Questions to Ponder as you close out today’s fast:
How was today’s time of prayer and fasting?
This is day #6, has the Lord given you direction, instructions and guidance in any area of your life?
Did you pray and fast regarding the four areas: Spiritual (your relationship with God), Physical(taking care of your health, etc.), Emotional(your mindset and outlook on life); Financial(your finances)
Do you have a book/journal to write down your thoughts?
Did you cover the areas LISTED below that pertain to you in prayer today?
Sharing another one of my favorite songs with you from the past!
Yesterday’s focus was interceding on behalf of others, today we will focus on praying for your personal concerns and need. As you pray and seek God today focus on these four specific areas of need: spiritual, physical emotional and financial. Write down a least one thing in each area and pray over it three times today. Pray not being fearful to talk to God about what you desire Him to do in your life. Believe me, God wants to bless you and give you the desires of your heart. As God was for Abram so is He for you – Jehovah-jireh, your Provider! God Knows It All!
Psalms 23:1 The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding
Mat 6:11Give us this day our daily bread.
Mat 6:25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall henot much moreclotheyou, O ye of little faith? 31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the dayisthe evil thereof.
Mat 7:7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Check out this video of healing scriptures being read by Pastor John Hagee. I purchased this CD many years ago and it is such a blessing to keep and share!
As we come close to the midnight hour I pray that today’s prayer and fasting focus Confession of sin and Repentance, blessed you both emotionally and spiritually. Did you take time today to sit before the Lord and talk with him with a sincere heart about the things that are weighing you down? See Hebrews 12:1-2..
Praying God is giving you direction as you continue to seek him duriong this time of prayer and fasting. Psalms 32:8 “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”
Tonight’s meal was a repeat of last night (lol) but I baked a sweet potatoe and it is still in the oven! Guess I will have to eat that tomorrow.
Transformation takes place when we can be honest with ourselves and begin to confess our sin to God and repent. In our scripture reading today we see David crying out to God because of his sin, First things first – Always go to God in prayer! Nothing to confess and repent of today – that’s awesome, tell God thank you, but if you do, make time to sit still before the Lord and have a sincere conversation with him. Remember we are eating the Word this year for transformation!
Repent: feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one’s wrongdoing or sin. Repentance: the action of repenting; sincere regret or remorse.
Scripture readings for today:
Psalms 51:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. 4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. 5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. 6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. 7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. 9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. 13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. 14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. 15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. 16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. 18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. 19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
Proverbs 28:13 – He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
James 4:17 – Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin
James 5:16 – Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1John 1:9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnatoin to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Pray your own Prayer of Repentance today using the above scriptures as your guide.
May this Word today encourage you and bless you. Walk today knowing that you are forgiven.
As I reflect on today’s time of fasting and prayer I must say that God is awesome. On my way to an appointment earlier today I stopped at the gas station on Northwest 119th and 17th Avenue and low and behold while I was inside paying for the gas my car was scraped by another car. 😦 BUT in spite of it all God is still good. I could have been walking back to the car and I could have been hit. 🙂 If you are wondering “All is well” thank God!
Whenever I am in a time of prayer and fasting my body and mind goes into this place of peace and rest because without the normal food intake I have no energy to fight people about things I cannot control. (lol) I thank God so much for his mercy and grace. Reflecting on today I saw the mercy of God, the protecting hand of God and the peace of and with God. Making time to seek Him is always worth it!
Came in from New Member Orientation about an hour ago and now I am baking my dinner at the moment (Potatoes, Pole Beans and Carrots) and yes my third glass of water. I hope it tastes good. (Lol) One thing I do not profess to be, a cook. (Lol) So anyone have any special meals to share (physically or spiritually?) In your seeking God first what did you learn or hear?

Exo 17:12 But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
Exo 17:13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
Exo 17:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
Exo 17:15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:
Exo 17:16 For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
