Day 3 – More Peace in this Season January 9, 2019

This is the day that the Lord has made, let us REJOICE and be glad in it!

This is the third day of our seven (7) day committed time of prayer and fasting and let me say again I am so proud of you!  Wednesday’s are our weekly fast days so I challenge you today to  sit before the Lord in prayer and study of his word for a minimum of one hour. This will be a great time to get some of your Book of Genesis reading in.  Your one hour can be in the early morning or late in the evening but let’s challenge ourselves today to “be still in his presence” so we can hear and see more clearly what the Lord  is saying to us in 2019.

Our focus today is to seek the peace of God.  In this new season, you will need the supernatural peace of God – that peace that the Bible speaks of that surpasses man’s understanding. When trials, persecutions and pain present itself you will remain at peace knowing that God is in control.  God will never put more on us than we can bear.  The peace we need comes from Jesus alone, it’s that abiding peace (eirēnē
i-rah’-nay G#1515) that lives inside of us.  ‘

I encourage you today “get up, stand up and look up” and go in the strength and peace of God.

DAILY CHALLENGE:  Read the daily Proverb; Read Psalms 5; Pray the Lord’s Prayer: Matthew 6:9-13

Words of Peace:

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:7

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Colossians 3:15

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. James 3:18

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Hebrews 12:14

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.  2 Timothy 2:22

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.  John 14:27

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.  Psalms 34:14

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.  2 Corinthians 13:11
