Building A Strong Relationship with Christ

Day 4 – Obedience January 11, 2018

Filed under: Uncategorized — pastorowens2 @ 12:11 pm

Today’s prayer focus is “Obedience”.  Biblical obedience in a nutshell is just “doing” what God asks you to do without adding to or taking away from the direction.  In our daily walk with God this can sometimes be challenging, but, one thing I do know, if God calls you to it, and you step out and do it, He will take you through it!  At the wedding feast in John 2:5 Jesus’ mother spoke this word to his servants, ……Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.”  …….they did and God moved.  I believe miracles still happen today for those you believe! Today ask the Father to give you strength and power to honor Him as you step out in obedience and “whatever He says to you to do, do it“!

SCRIPTURES

Deuteronomy 13:4  Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

Joshua 24:24  And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.

1Samuel 15:22  And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Acts_5:29  Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Romans 5:19  For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Romans 6:12  Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Romans 6:16  Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Hebrews 5:8  Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

What has God been asking you to do, let go, be?  What is holding you back?  Philippians 4:13 will give you the courage you need to step up and out!

Say a prayer of obedience to following God today as he shows you his way
